2024 Student Gallery Show

Calling all Rumriver Art Center students! It is time to celebrate your creativity. We are inviting Rumriver Art Center students from the last year to participate in our Student Show. In order to be eligible to participate, you must have participated in at least one class between January 1, 2023, and July 1, 2024.

The gallery show is open to kids and adults.   There will be a virtual show for students that have taken virtual classes as well. Both the virtual and in-person Student Shows will be on display from Saturday, August 10, 2024, to Saturday September 7, 2024.

In-Person Gallery Show

If you have taken an in-person class or workshop at Rumriver Art Center, you are invited to submit up to two pieces of artwork you would like in the show by Friday, July 5, 2024. Depending on how many people enter and as space allows, at least one of your pieces will be accepted into the show (and possibly both).

Artwork can be something you created in a class at the art center or something you created on your own. Note: You may only participate in the in-person show if you have taken an in-person class at Rumriver Art Center. You will be notified by email which of your pieces have been accepted into the show by Friday, July 12, 2024.

For the in-person gallery show, there will be an opening for all artists to attend and bring their family and friends on Saturday, August 10 from 2pm-4pm in the Rumriver Art Center Gallery.

Virtual Gallery Show

If you have taken a virtual class through Rumriver Art Center, we invite you to participate in our virtual Student Show. You are invited to submit up to 2 pieces for this exhibit by Friday, July 5, 2024. Artwork can be something you created in a class at the art center or something you created on your own. You will be notified by email which of your pieces have been accepted into the show by Friday, July 12, 2024.

The virtual gallery show will be presented in the form of a video slideshow. The video slideshow will be put on the Rumriver Art Center website, posted on the art center social media pages, and shared with all the Student Show participants via email.

The purpose of the virtual gallery show is to give our virtual students a chance to share their artwork with other students and the community as many are unable to get to the art center/live too far away and even out of state. Note: You may only participate in the virtual show if you have taken a virtual class through Rumriver Art Center.

**Important: You do not have the option to sell your artwork if participating in the virtual show. Please just put N/A in the price box on the application form.
