Rumriver Art Center depends on volunteers to help in a variety of ways. As a volunteer you are the heart of the art center. We depend on your talents to help us keep the art center running smoothly. We have a variety of opportunities from being a guest service volunteer to helping with general maintenance. As a volunteer you can work weekly, monthly, or as needed; and volunteer tasks can be tailored to meet your schedule and interests.
Gallery Host – You would be stationed in the gallery and assist visitors as needed.
General Cleaning and Maintenance – The art center gets messy. We can always use help from cleaning windows, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping floors.
Guest Services – Welcome guests and provide information about Rumriver Art Center, the classes, gallery, assist with art cafe purchases, register individuals for classes, and answer the phone.
Special Events Volunteers – Assist with events, Kids Art Fun Night, Free Family Art Day, Art in the Park at Elmcrest Park, and other events as they come up.
Office Volunteers – Help with a variety of tasks including data entry and filing.
Board Members – Serve a 3-year term and commit to attending the monthly board meetings, assist with governing the organization, attend and help out at events throughout the year.
