Community Programs

The Rumriver Art Center partners with many local community organizations to provide art education through classes and programs throughout the year. We have an ongoing partnership with the City of Ramsey for the “Art in the Park” series. The Rumriver Art Center has free art activity programs with the City of Anoka including Winterfest and Halloween events. We work with the Anoka-Hennepin Libraries to offer free classes at your local library. We are the resource for the north metro art community.

Art in the Park at The Draw with The City of Ramsey

Rumriver Art Center instructors will lead participants ages 5-15 years old step-by-step through each project, allowing your kids to understand the process of each technique and still create their own unique masterpiece.
For this year’s Art in the Park, participants will receive a passport that they will bring with them to each of the art in the park events. They will get a different country flag and a stamp at each event and will then turn in their passport to Rumriver Art Center at the last event on August 15 and receive a prize for attending all five of these community events. Each event will feature a project from a different country around the world, exposing children to the art of different cultures.
