Community Programs

The Rumriver Art Center partners with many local community organizations to provide art education through classes and programs throughout the year. We have an ongoing partnership with the City of Ramsey for the “Art in the Park” series. We also work with various county libraries to offer free classes at your local library. We are proud to be THE resource for the north metro art community.

Art in the Park at The Draw with The City of Ramsey

Celebrating 50 years of Ramsey, the Art in the Park series will highlight insects, animals, landscapes, and local activities found in Ramsey. We will use a variety of materials such as oil pastels, watercolor paints, colored pencils, watercolor pencils, graphite and more! Get step by step instruction on sketching out your subject and how to use new materials. Everyone gets the same instruction, but each project turns out completely different with your own creativity embraced during the process! There will also be a concert in the park for the community each week that will start at 6:30pm, so you can stay for the music if you want! Enjoy the process of art making, the great outdoors, and live music with Art in the Park.
