We’re thrilled to welcome back Larry Weinberg this summer as a gallery artist, featuring his new gallery show: Visions of the World! Larry, along with Susan Yee, co-founded Rumriver Art Center and served as its Executive Directors for 14 years. Last winter, they passed the executive director role to Makilyn Koep, allowing Larry to focus on his painting while he and Susan traveled.
Visions of the World focuses on Weinberg’s artistic immersion into locations he has traveled to throughout his lifetime. This series of paintings draws inspiration from the landscapes of Andalusia, Spain, underwater scenes from Isla Mujeres, and harbor life in Margot, St. Martin. Weinberg’s work captures the essence of these environments through the interplay of light, sounds, smells, and textures.
In this video, I had the opportunity to sit down with Larry and hear about his journeys with Susan the past few months. Check out the interview below.
Enjoy this slideshow of photos and audio where Larry discusses his new body of work, “Visions of the World,” and how his time traveling in Andalusia, Spain, Isla Mujeres, and harbor life from Margot, St. Martin, influenced this captivating series.
Larry shares his thoughts on the concept of inspiration, shedding light on the reality behind it.
