Rumriver Art Center 2026 Kids Summer Art Camps
Read this page first then see the schedule here!
Rumriver Art Center Summer Art Camps provide a stimulating environment for young artists to grow as creative, unique individuals and to learn how to solve problems visually. Student ages vary based on the individual camps; but overall, Rumriver Art Center Kids Summer Art Camps are geared for kids ages 5-17, with a special PreK Craft Camp for even younger artists ages 3-5. Campers get to work on a variety of fun projects and participate in the joys of making art with friends, experimenting with painting, drawing, mixed-media, sculpture, and much more! Each camp has a new focus so students that enroll in multiple sessions encounter all new studio projects.

Important Information
- Cancellation/Refund Policy: All camp/class fees are non-refundable upon registration. Payment in full is due on or before the first day of class. Cancellation or request to reschedule more than 2 weeks in advance = account credit to use at a future camp or class (administration fee may apply). Cancellation or request to reschedule 2 weeks or less in advance = no refunds or credits given.
- Camp check in and check out will take place from your vehicle near our main entrance. For the safety of all participants, this is done in a drive through fashion. Do not park and walk your child into the art center for drop off or pick up. Detailed instructions are below. Please take time to familiarize yourself with the procedure.
- Drop off/check in begins 10 minutes prior to the camp start time. Do not come more than 10 minutes early to drop off. This causes a backup in check in traffic.
- Pick up is at the camp end time. Do not come more than 5 minutes early to pick up. This causes a backup in pick up traffic.
- There will be a snack break approximately halfway through class each day. Included in your camp registration is 1 snack or drink per day. Students may bring cash to purchase additional snacks or drinks or bring their own additional snacks or drinks, if desired. Additional snacks and drinks are $1 each.
- If a student is registered for both morning and afternoon camps, they can bring a lunch to eat at the art center during the supervised hour break in between their camps.
- Please wear clothes and shoes you can get dirty, and leave your watch and rings at home. Making art can get messy, and we don’t want you to lose anything. If you are in a wheel throwing pottery camp, you must bring a towel from home to wipe your hands during class. If you are in a Rumriver Ruffians Camp, Nature Art Camp or Plein Air Camp, bring a bag/backpack to carry your stuff in while we are on our walks, please make sure you have proper footwear for walking, put on sunblock prior to the start of camp, and have a hat or sunglasses.
- Please know that we hope to make this a positive experience for your child. Campers are expected to behave appropriately and respect their peers and RRAC teachers. We expect everyone to follow all rules and respect others while attending camp.
Summer Camp Check-In Procedure – Check-in will take place near our main entrance (Suite 103).You will check-in your camper(s) from your vehicle. You will enter one of the art center drop off lanes as outlined in the attached video. One drop off lane is the right shoulder of 4th Ave. The other drop off lane is the front parking lot accessed via Pierce/Pleasant St. Then you will pull your car up to the check-in station. There will be RRAC staff in yellow vests directing traffic. You will then exit southbound on 4th Ave. Due to heavy traffic there will be no turning to go northbound on 4th Ave (back towards Pleasant/Pierce St). Everyone must continue southbound on 4th Ave (in the direction of Main St).
Summer Camp Check-Out Procedure– Parents will pick up their camper(s) at the same spot they were dropped off. Pick up will follow the same procedure as drop off — enter the art center drop off/pick up lanes, stop at the check-in/check-out station and then exit southbound on 4th Ave the same as the drop off procedure.
