Painting Minnesota: Capturing the Beauty of Everyday Places by William Bukowski

The 21 Step Gallery at Rumriver Art Center presents: Painting Minnesota, by artist William Bukowski. Influenced by the European tradition of realist painting, Bukowski frequently works en plein air, painting directly on location to capture the light and quiet beauty of familiar places.

His subjects include local landscapes such as the gardens at Sibley Park, the Red Jacket Trail, Seven Mile County Park, and scenes from a cherished family cottage. Bukowski also travels regularly to Europe for inspiration, particularly to Italy, where the traditions of the Old Masters continue to influence his artistic practice.

The exhibition runs from March 21st-April 18th, 2026.
