Field Trips On and Off-Site

Looking for an art class for your organization? Take a field trip to Rumriver Art Center located in historic Anoka along the beautiful Rum River. Can’t come to us? We will come to you for an off-site class. Unleash your creativity!
We offer 90 minute classes in drawing, painting, sculpture, and more! One class has a max of 30 students and a minimum of 10 students (for example, if you have 90 students, we would do 3 class sessions). Class size may be adjusted based on the number of staff at your facility available to help in the class – we can discuss this with you!

Pricing

Field Trip to Rumriver Art Center!
$80 (admin cost) + material and teacher fee per person (varies based on art medium, see below)

We come to you! Off-site classes
$80 (admin cost) + material and teacher fee per person (varies based on art medium, see below) + travel fee (varies based on distance from RRAC, see below)

Material & Teacher Fee per student

This cost covers materials for each student and pays our expert teaching artists!
Drawing, Watercolor: $12
Acrylic Painting on Canvas, Mixed Media, Polymer Clay: $17
Hand-Built Pottery (max 20 students): $22

Travel Fee

This is implemented for gas and the work and time to gather supplies and transport to an off-site location for the teaching artist. Pottery needs to be brought back to RRAC for firing and arrangements for pick up/drop off can be discussed based on location.

$1 per mile one-way from RRAC to location (2D supplies)
Minimum of $15

$2 per mile one-way from RRAC to location (hand-built pottery)
Minimum of $30

Other Terms and Conditions

Payments can be made by cash, check or bank transfer for no additional fee. If payments are made by credit card there will be a credit card processing/booking fee of 4.5% (subject to change as determined by our booking company) that is not applied to the fee charged by Rumriver Art Center. Field trips are non-refundable.

Classes must be booked at least 4 weeks in advance. Field trips are subject to studio space and teaching artist availability so schedule early! Our studio availability is always changing and we cannot reserve a date/studio without confirmation so prompt communication is required.

The minimum balance for 10 participants plus the $80 admin fee is required at the time of booking, no matter how many students end up showing up. The final number of participants is due 10 days prior to the class. If there are more than 10 participants, the total class fee will be adjusted for the additional individuals.
