Frida Kahlo pug drawing

Frida Kahlo de Rivera (1907 –1954) born Magdalena Carmen Frieda Kahlo y Calderón) was a Mexican painter, born in Coyoacán. She was best known for her self-portraits. Frida Kahlo is a inspiration to us all, she overcame numerous obstacles to be one of the most famous Mexican artists, even though she did have her own solo show in Mexico until 1953, a year before she died. She was married to artist Diego Rivera. Many of her self-portraits have a surreal, dream like theme with animals and people floating around. Our Project takes this dream like theme to create a Pug Portrait in Frida Kahlo’s surreal style. Materials needed: Paper, Pencil, Eraser and coloring materials of your choice. Elements Of Art: Line, Shape, Color and Texture
