Monet Waterlilies and Japanese Bridge Watercolor

Painting of Monet Waterlilies and Japanese Bridge

Claude Monet (1840 – 1926) was a founder of French impressionist painting, and the most consistent and prolific practitioner of the movement’s philosophy of expressing one’s perceptions before nature, especially as applied to outdoor landscape painting. Monet was best known for his waterlilies paintings and the Japanese Footbridge over a lily pond in his private garden in Giverney. This watercolor project was inspired by these Monet paintings.
