Safety is our first priority in extreme weather. The safety of all students is the first priority when determining if Rumriver Art Center should stay open in extreme weather. If we cancel a class, we will give participants either a refund or credit to use on any other class.
As soon as the decision has been made to cancel a class we will post on the RRAC website and Facebook. You can also call us at 763-323-8830 to find out if there will be class.
Rumriver Art Center follows the Anoka-Hennepin school district when deciding to cancel classes. If the school district cancels classes, we will too. You can find out if the school district is closed from media outlets including WCCO, KSTP, Fox 9, KARE 11, CCX (also known as Northwest Community TV), and WCCO radio. On days when school is not in session we will base the decision to stay open or close on information from the National Weather Service and the MN Department of Transportation. If there is a “Travel Not Advised” issued, we will close.

You have the final decision on whether or not to attend class. If RRAC is open, students are expected to attend and no refunds or credits will be given. However, if you feel you would be in danger you can choose to stay home.
