Rumriver Art Center Policies
When students come to class late, it can disrupt the flow of the project, distract other students, impede learning, and generally erode class morale. Moreover, if left unchecked, lateness can become chronic and spread throughout the class.
Any student more than 15 minutes late will not be allowed in the studio. Less than 15 minutes late will allowed in class the first time only. The beginning of class is very important and we need all students present.
*All camp/class fees are non-refundable upon registration.
Payment in full is due on or before the first day of class.
Cancellation or request to reschedule more than 2 weeks in advance = account credit to use at a future camp or class
Cancellation 2 weeks or less in advance = no refunds or credits given
We are a small, non-profit organization. For all of our classes we have a minimum number of 5 students that we need to register for a class in order for it to run. If we need to cancel a class due to low enrollment we will contact you and give you the option of a refund or a credit to use on any other class/camp.
Clay Firing and Pick Up Policy
When you take a clay class it is your responsibility to check our CLAY FIRING AND PICK UP webpage to find out if your projects are ready to be picked up. Our goal is to have clay projects fired and ready to be picked up 2 weeks after the class is held. Once the clay projects are ready, participants have 30 days to pick up their projects. After 30 days we will re-purpose any projects that were unclaimed.
Clay Projects Disclaimer
With clay there is always a chance of projects exploding in the kiln or breaking. We try our best to return your projects to you as you created them, however; sometimes things happen that are beyond our control. We sincerely apologize if one of your pieces is damaged in the firing process.
