Clay Fairy Garden House

This is a family all ages class, where you can work together on one project or create your own. Artist Angie Renee from Northern Clay Center will take students through process of working with clay. Hand-built pottery is a unique workshop offering a total hands-on experience. This workshop will focus on creating your own unique Fairy Garden house. The projects will be fired in a kiln and ready for pick-up in about a week.
The $30 workshop cost is per project not per person.

Acrylic Painting Class
Relax and unwind as you paint the featured painting of the class. Come alone, bring a friend, or fill an entire class with your friends. Our instructor will walk you through step-by-step instructions to paint your own one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Each guest receives a canvas, paints, brushes, and an apron. No experience is necessary!

Anoka-Hennepin Community Education Class

This class is offered through Community Education, but will take place at Rumriver Art Center. Registration is completed through Community Education by clicking on the link below. 

Fairy Toad House - NEW! - # AL077-3C05 - – S1
Create your own fairy toad house, perfect for your garden, in this unique workshop offering a total hands-on experience. Artist, Angie Renee, will take students through the hand-building process of working with clay. The projects will be fired in a kiln and ready for pick-up in about two weeks.

Plein Air Painting Class
Plein air painting is painting outdoors. Instructor Paul Boecher will teach participants how to paint outdoors. Table-top, easel and all materials will be provided.
Date: Saturday, June 15
Time: 9am - 12pm
Ages: 15 and older
Cost: $25 per person


Pottery Project
Create a project on your own or do a family project together. Experience the fun of pottery with clay and glazes. This hands-on class will teach basic techniques to making a slab toad garden house or fairy garden house. The instructor will provide decorating ideas and teach glazing and firing techniques. When complete, your project will be fired in a kiln and ready for pick-up in about 2 weeks.

Ages: 5 and older
Cost: $25 per project


Photography Basics
Students will learn about the basics of photography. A digital camera is required for this class.
Date: Saturday, July 13
Time: 10am - 12pm
Ages: 12 and older
Cost: $25 per person


Stained Glass Picture Frame
Create a project on your own or do a family project together. We use stained glass and sea glass tiles for our 8x10 picture frame. Learn how to make a small stained glass mosaic with glue, glass and few tools to complete your project.

Ages: 6 and older
Cost: $25 per project
