The open studio class give students a chance to come to the art center to work on their projects. You can bring your own materials or for small fee can use ours. We will have an artist present to answer questions, give assistance, and provide materials. You can come every week or just stop in when you have need.
Cost: $7.50/single open studio session (optional material fee $5, see registration link for details)

Plein air painting is painting outdoors. Paul Boecher will lead Plein Air Club members through plein air inspired paintings as we meet indoors during the Winter months. This is a great opportunity for beginners to the more accomplished. If you always wanted to learn how to paint outdoors this is your opportunity. A table top and easel will be provided. Participants must bring all other materials/supplies. Plein Air painters can use acrylic, oil or watercolor paint on canvas board or paper.

Woman's cafe is a safe place to gather with women and create. Treat yourself to a morning of being creative. No experience necessary.
January 20, 10am - 12pm: Creative Journal Project
Come let's celebrate the beginning of a New Year and create a new creative journal. There will be a variety of materials for you to use. You can also bring your own ideas and items you might want to incorporate on your journal cover.
February 17, 10am - 12pm: Gifts from the heart
We will be creating a small clay heart that will be the center of a mixed media project we will start creating this month. We will focus on the gifts we all have to offer to the world.

We will be exploring art within a circle. There will be a variety of materials to choose from.

Stained Glass Ornament Class
Join artist Jacob Baker for an evening of Holiday ornament making the stained glass way. Jacob will provide instruction and help as you create an ornament using basic stained glass techniques. Attendees will be able to pick out their own colors for their ornament from foiled glass. The course assumes no prior experience with stained glass. You will learn how to use a soldering iron to tin and assemble foiled glass and shaped copper wire as well as some basic procedures to finish stained glass work. You should come away from the three hours with healthy dose of Holiday cheer, a finished project, and a better feel for what stained glass is like to work with.
Materials and equipment will be provided. We will be using soldering irons for this project so all participants must be at least 13 years old.
